International award-winning director Jale Karabekir is organizing a theatre workshop for LGBTQ activists in Turkey. Based on the techniques developed by the Brazilian theatre director Augusto Boal, the workshop will employ diverse exercises and games in order to explore the creation and interpretation of images, and the different ways to use the body. Analyzing the ways of bodily expression, the workshop aims to contribute to the development of new perspectives on performance in theatrical and everyday contexts, and provide capacity building support for LGBTQ activism.
